How to use Tasks function in OM?

Tasks module is a free project management tool of the Transense OM system. It can be used for the management of common enterprise tasks and projects. For example, there is going to be a very important marketing activity in your enterprise, which needs proper cooperation between various departments of the enterprise. In this case, the person in charge of the activity can create a new Task to make appropriate allocations of each link and their corresponding persons in charge. In this way, different departments and employees of the enterprises can be allocated to the implementation of the activity.

How to use the Task?

Here are the basic stepsCreate a new Task——start Task——execute Task——Task statistics.

Step1Create a New Task

Enter Transense OM>>Tasks>>Tasks>>New Taskthe following picture is the page for creating a New Task

Noteworthy functions in the picture are:

Authorized ViewerAuthorize viewers. If you’d like a certain scope of employees to view the detailed information included in theTask, you can click  to authorize them.

Start Date and End DateThe start and end date of Task can be decided according to requirements of the task, or the end date of the task can be based on the deadline date of all subtasks.

Duration: It refers to the time span of the Task. According to your selected start date and end date, Transense provides you with three time modes. Weekend: only limited to weekend time. Signle Holidayonly limited to holiday time  Standard Datestandard working days.

Statusthe status of Task, please select as needed

Fill in basic information in Taskthen click  below to create subtasks, shown as follows:

Director: Executor of the subtasks

An example picture of the created subtasks are shown below

Fill in all basic information of Task, create new subtasks and save. Now step 1 is completed. The newly-created Task can be viewed in Transense OM>>Tasks>>Tasks>>Lists.

Step2:Start Task      

Note: If you have selected Executing ( under execution) in Status items in the process of creating Task, you can omit the starting operation. If the Status of Task is Unexecuted, please enter Transense OM>>Tasks>>Tasks>>Lists, find the Task you have created in your last step, access editing page and find Basic Information, modify the Status and then save.

Step3Task Implementation

Next, persons in charge of subtasks just implement their tasks in accordance with relevant requirements. In the process of task implementation, the PM can view the progress of the tasks at any time. For tasks which can not be completed on schedule, the PM should remind the persons in charge. The following example picture shows the Task progress bar (Gantt chart), which is divided into time schedule and implementation schedule.

Real-time monitoring of task progress is conducive to its finish on time.

Step4Task Statistics

Enter Transense OM>>Tasks>>Tasks>>Statistics to make statistics on tasks. The statistics module can make statistics on tasks of a particular time, convenient for management personnel’s overall grasp of the enterprise conditions.
